Tuesday Hockey picks..........early leans.....
Match 1 : PANTHERS (17-18-7) at MAPLE LEAFS (14-19-9)
Pick 1 : Panthers ML @ 2.15
![]()
Puck Line / Run Line will also be in a few parlays.......I really like the Panthers win here.
Panthers are my pick without a doubt. I watched them dismantle the Stanley Cup winners (Penguins) and score six unanswered goals last night..Momentum is on their side...Taking goalscorers tomorrow will be lucrative as will the over.....It was 6-4 when they met just over a month ago and with the injuries to the Leafs, it will only get worse.......Panthers by 2 goals......over under is a hard one because it will be set at 5.5 or 6.5 and you will need a goal or two from Toronto and Im not sure if you'll get them.....Maybe 4-0, 4-1, 3-0...........the over scares me as does the under........Go Panthers
Panthers at Maple Leafs - 01/05/2010 - NHL.com - Game Previews
Florida has to be feeling good after scoring 6 unanswered goals to turn around an early 2:0 deficit to the Penguins. In Florida's last 5 games they are averaging 3.20 goals for and 2.80 goals against. The Panthers have allowed only 4 power play goals on 35 chances in their last 10 games. On the road, they've been very competitive going 10-10-2 recording wins against Philadelphia, NY Islanders, New Jersey, NY Rangers, Detroit, Buffalo, Boston, St. Louis, Dallas, and Chicago. After some good play for a stretch from the end of November into December, Toronto hasn't been able to find the same consistency in recent games. They have 2 wins in their last 9 games and have scored more than 2 goals only 1 time in their last 8 games. The Maple Leafs have allowed 3 goals in 6 consecutive games. Florida lost the meeting earlier this season but won all 4 meetings last year. Considering Toronto's poor record at home (7-8-5) and Florida's positive attitude, this looks like an even contest.
Match 2 : WILD (20-19-3) at BLACKHAWKS (29-10-3)
Pick 2 : Blackhawks ML @ 1.41
No need to talk about this one....Im putting the run lun here and there but ML is a certain bet for me....and hopefully a winner.....They meet again in Minnesota on Saturday. If Wild will get the upset win, it will be there, not in Chicago. Chi have scored at least 4 goals in its last 6 st8 games..........The over here is also certain.....I imagine this to be higher than the rest but I will probably take it.
Wild at Blackhawks - 01/05/2010 - NHL.com - Game Previews
In Minnesota's last 7 games, the Wild are scoring 3 goals per game. During this stretch of games, their defense has been shaky having allowed 3.63 goals per game. Other than holding the struggling Oilers to 1 goal on December 23rd, the opposition has tallied 5, 5, 4, 3, 3, 4, and 4 goals against the Wild. Chicago has scored at least 3 goals in 11 of their last 12 games. The Blackhawks have scored 5, 6, 5, 4, 5, and 4 goals in their last 6 games. They've allowed 3 goals per game in their last 5. Minnesota's goalie Backstrom is expected to get the night off which gives backup Harding a rare start. Harding is 2-5 with 3.56 gaa on the road. The chances of more than 5.5 goals tonight is greater than 50%.
Match 3 : COYOTES (25-14-4) at OILERS (16-22-4)
Pick 3 : PHX - EDM UNDER 5.0 @ 1.9
Detroit became only the second team in the last 19 games to score more than three goals against the Coyotes. Since Nov. 23, only the Anaheim Ducks (a 4-2 loss on Dec. 19) had accomplished the feat.
This is screaming under to me....Maybe I will buy points and take under 6..hmmm.......Oilers cant score............there will not be more than 5 goals here.....Oilers may win this since they are 1-9-0 in last 10..........They will be at home and in need of a win.....PHX looking shaky so I would bet home win here but im not, because both teams suck right now......
Coyotes at Oilers - 01/05/2010 - NHL.com - Game Previews
One look at the standings and recent form would show a distinct advantage for Phoenix since the Coyotes are 4th in the West while the struggling Oilers are in last place. Edmonton has only 1 win in their last 10 games while Phoenix continues their surprising season with consistent play. There are however some alarming concerns I have with Phoenix tonight. They're coming off a humbling 4:1 defeat at home against an undermanned Detroit team. The Coyotes made some mistakes and ultimately disappointed a capacity crowd on hand. It was Phoenix's first home loss in regulation since November 16th. They also lost Scottie Upshall in the second period so his status is in question. Upshall is third on the team in points and has really increased his level of play recently. Edmonton is a desperate team right now, and I'm not convinced they're that bad of a team. Phoenix has struggled badly in their visits to Rexall Place having lost 5 in a row. The Oilers won these games convincingly 4:0, 6:3, 4:2, 8:4, and 5:2. Considering Phoenix's historical struggles in Edmonton and the fact Phoenix hasn't played much on the road in the last two weeks, I think Edmonton will give the Coyotes more than they can handle. The Oilers have won 8 of the last 9 meetings (all by more than 2 goals) including the 4:0 victory at home on November 23rd.
Match 4 : BLUE JACKETS (15-19-9) at CANUCKS (25-16-1)
Last 10 -- Columbus 1-6-3; Vancouver 7-2-1
Pick 4 : Vancouver Canucks ML @ 1.43
This game shapes up as a mismatch. The Blue Jackets are in a tailspin and the Canucks are playing very well. Columbus will have a tough time making the playoffs from 14th place in the West while Vancouver is bearing down on the Northwest Division lead. Only two teams have worse road records than the Blue Jackets while only the Blackhawks have won more home games than the Canucks.
Blue Jackets at Canucks - 01/05/2010 - NHL.com - Game Previews
some one elses 2 cents"""""""""Columbus has 1 win in their last 13 games. The Blue Jackets have been strong defensively in their last 5 games allowing only 1.60 goals against, but they have major problems scoring. In their last 10 games, Columbus has scored only 13 goals (2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, and 1 goal). On the road, Columbus allows 3.64 goals per game. This will not be good for a potent Vancouver team which averages 3.36 goals at home. The Canucks continue to play great hockey winning 5 of their last 6 games. They've scored 22 goals while allowing only 9 goals thanks to a strong defensive core and Luongo. Vancouver is 16-6-0 at home with 15 of those 16 wins coming in regulation. Columbus has lost 12 consecutive games on the road
thats all for now....will add more and confirm bets later......
