PSV managed a 1-0 away win in the first leg of the UEFA cup against Tottenham. The Peruvian Jefferson Farfan banked on an error from Tottenham’s Brazilian debutant Gilberto to give his team the lead at the 33rd minute.

PSV could have won by more than one had Farfan not wasted three other good scoring chances. Tottenham could not play their usual game.

Tonight the Spurs will look forward to reverse that result but the task will be hard for them as PSV are in great form and will defend their advance. From last ten PSV won eight, drew one and lost only one away at Utrecht just four days before the win on Tottenham, whilst they were having their eyes on that first leg game. PSV scored 57-22 in the Eredivisie.

PSV are currently at six points clear at the top of the Holland Eredivisie while Tottenham are in 11th place in English Premiership. Tottenham are inconsistent and won only four of last ten games. They lost 4-1 away at Birmingham four games ago but scored 4-0 on West Ham in last match after two defeats. Apart from the win on Chelsea in the Carling Cup, Tottenham seem to be limited against the good teams. They lost 3-1 away at Man U.They won and drew against moderate and poor teams.

The spurs will see the return of skipper Ledly King while Jonathan Woodgate has travelled despite a foot injury Jermaine Jenas is also back in the squad after twisting his ankle in the first leg, but Younes Kaboul (knee) and Ricardo Rocha (groin) are out.

I believe PSV can win here and will take benefit of their grounds advantage and their excellent form. They can score more than one and a win by more than one goal margin is highly possible. I take the home win.
