EURO 2012 SEMI-FINALS: PORTUGAL vs SPAIN

Here are my thoughts:
Spain, being the defending champions, is favored in this one. As for how are they playing now, they are really good and always in attack form. Their line-up is very strong that even Torres can afford to sit on the bench. Well maybe Del Bosque is planning onto something for Torres, but we don't know. Iniesta, Xavi, Xabi, Busquets, Ramos are big names in the world of football and imagine them playing in one team. Add to that the prowess of keeper Casillas, and Chelsea's Torres. This team is like Netherlands that is full of stars. The good thing is that Spain didn't let their egos affect their game as they play together unlike the Dutch that failed to win even just one match. The big advantage of Spain is the experience. These players are big time and ready to defend their crown.
However, in Portugal, Ronaldo was in sync these past few matches as he was the only scorer for Portugal. Troubled with criticisms and pressure, the Real Madrid superstar will bring his A-game and look to dethrone the Spaniards. But, he needs his teammates in order to win. He can't do it alone. A superb performance from Nani, Meireles, Moutinho and Patricio is needed to get to the finals.
This will surely be one for the books.

Spain adding up drama in the semis?
Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has sprung one major surprise in the defending champions' lineup. Not only is he starting a natural striker, but that striker is Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo, not Fernando
Torres or Fernando Llorente. Negredo has played in one match in Euro 2012, coming off the bench for a one-minute cameo against Croatia in the final match of the group stage.
It was a bold move not let Torres play. If they are trying to prove they are good with or without Torres, then they should've done it earlier and not in the semis. It's better to be safe than sorry. Look what
happened in the semis. If not for Alvez's (Portugal) missed penalty, they might gone straight home instead of defending their title. It was the semi-finals! So they should use all the force they got.
Anyways, they won the match even though for me they didn't proved anything.

From the beginning I have always cheered Spain to bring home glory and win championship. It's just because of Ronaldo that Portugal have always been on top. On the other hand experience matters a lot. I love the Spanish team and I always wish this team to win in the advance level. So cheers to the Portugal Players.
