Default Ginepri - Wawrinka

Robby Ginepri didn't have hard task in first two rounds beating Olivier Rochus and Teimuraz Gabashvili both in straight sets. He play good at hard surface and he is domestic player in U.S. and that could be small advantage for him. However, he is not unbeatable at hard and players like Murray , Calleri or even Michael Berrer won against him in previous month.

Stanislas Wawrinka make better impression on me beating Evgeny Korolev 3:0 and Marat Safin 3:1 in first two rounds at U.S. Open. In my opinion he is more mentally stronger than his opponent today. He has first serve at least at the same level like Ginepri, but Wawrinka has much better second serve and this fact together with strong and outstanding backhand should be too much power for American today. They've never played against each other and I expect Wawrinka will leads after today's match.

So, Stanislas Wawrinka to win medium or high stakes with nice odds 2.00 at expekt. Good Luck to all.

WON

Both players perform excellent at this season U.S Open and IMO it's shame they meet in so early stage of the competition. Venus didn't have hard job in first three rounds against Kira Nagy, Olaru and Alyona Bondarenko. She didn't drop a set yet allowing only 12 games to her opponents in three rounds. However, those players wasn't real test for Venus and today we'll see is she capable for highest place this year in America.

Ana Ivanovic also did great job in previous rounds beating Nakamura, Rezai and Dushevina all with 2:0 , allowing only 10 games to her opponents. She perform career best in my opinion and today has best chance to finally make something better against Venus as in three previous meetings Ivanovic was not able to take a single set against Venus. Ivanovic improved much this season , has great serve and play from the base line and I believe she would be very hard opponent for Venus today.

I'm not sure Ivanovic could win over Venus Williams today as she probably has some kind of mental blockade when she play against her but I think she is ready to take one set. So, my pick is Ivanovic set hc 1.5 with nice odds at bwin ( 1.70).

LOST

Kohlschreiber - Moya

Philip Kohlschreiber made big surprise beating Youzhny in second round , but I've watched this match I in my opinion Youzhny eliminated himself with numerous mistakes. In the first round Kohlschreiber won over Zabaleta easily in straight sets. Kohlschreiber showed some good performances on the net in previous rounds, but German player isn't Moya class . Few weeks ago he lost against players like Monaco, Del Potro or Hrbaty which are all weaker than Spaniard.

Carlos Moya is in right form on America's hard. In Cinci he won over David Nalbandian , Novak Djokovic and Del Potro and at US Open he eliminated Phau Bjorn and Igor Kunitsyn , both in straight sets. Currently ,Moya plays top tennis that's for sure , has great serve and in my opinion he wouldn't make mistakes like Youzhny did in match against Koklschreiber. Moya will be able to eliminate young German in this round, simple he is much better player .

My pick is Moya to win , 1.55 @ interwetten. Good luck to all.

Davydenko - H.T.Lee

It looks Davydenko left behind him betting scandal and at U.S Open perform some really great tennis. He won over Jesse Levine, Nicolas Kiefer and Nicolas Almagro all in straight sets. Hard surface suits Davydenko's style of play, mainly because he has big serve and great physical strenght.

H.T. Lee eliminated Dominik Hrbaty in 5 sets, Guillermo Canas in 3 and Andy Murray in 4 sets. Win against Canas and somewhat against Murray could have some relevance to this bet as especially Canas has similar style of play like Davydenko. That's why I believe South Korean has some chances against Nikolay Davydenko today. Well, I'm not quite sure he could make an upset against Russian , but for my appetites H.T. Lee 7 games hc looks very probable bet as I believe it will be very hard for both players to make break and I wouldn't be surprised if 5th set decide a winner.

So, my pick is H.T. Lee +7 games hc (1.85 @ gamebookers). In case difference is exactly 7 games , bet is void. LOST

Wawrinka - Chela

Stanislas Wawrinka shows very good performances at U.S Open this year. He won over Korolev 3:2, Marat Safin 3:0 and Robby Ginepri in another tennis marathon. This is the biggest achievement for him at Grand Slams, so far, as he never reached 4th round of competition. Wawrinka advantage is certainly big serve and in previous matches he lost his serve only in three occasions. Wawrinka also has good base line play as well as his opponent today so I expect lot of very long points on this match.

Chela won over Mcclune, Odesnik and Ljubicic in previous rounds. Well, result against Ljubo is great success but Croatian player still search for real form after injury period. Chela has good base line play , but his serves can't match with Wawrinka's. H2H, Wawrinka leads 2:0 , last year at U.S Open and earlier this year at Stuttgart clay.

IMO Wawrinka should win this match. Both players had 5 sets matches in 3rd round , so physical strenght could be decisive factor today and Wawrinka is much better prepared player. Chela is capable to take one set today, nothing more.

My picks are Wawrinka to win (1.75 @ interwetten) and Wawrinka to win in 4 sets ( 3:1), 4.50 @ interwetten.
