Davydenko v Roddick
In my eyes, this is the final of this group, because the winner here have the first chance to acces further. The favourite is Federer and the winner play Gonzalez and with a victory can go further. This match have a lot of load because this is gonna be the match in the final Davis Cup too, the acusation on Davydenko head and the fitness of Roddick. Roddick with Courrier improve a lot on his play with great ground strokes, volley and use more the top spin on balls which he didn't in the past. His play was more on powerfull of his serve but now improve the play from baseline too. Davydenko has a complete play, with a tough play from baseline, came to the net every time, a lot of pressure on his opponent,a great serve. Davydenko is accused that he let some matches and my opinion is that this accusantion is fair, but I think that the russian don't bother like the media do. This is the key of the match, if Davydenko can let this behind him then we gonna see a superb match. Roddick has some injurry and in the last Masters he didn't play (only in Paris when he lost to Santoro) and I'm curios about his fitness. Roddick always enter into the game to finished quickly, like he have something to do, and that I think that he cost him. Davydenko always play great in front of the first player, he has a great mental and fight till the last point, but he too start the match slower till he warm up. I think that Davydenko has to prove something here, that is a great player and don't care about acussation and the only thing that happens in that matches is that he was injury or tired (like he declared) and the only goal is to play great with the best player. I think that Davydenko if put pressure on Roddick, then he can win this one. The h2h is in favor of Roddick with 4-0 but the last meeting was back in 2005 when Davydenko wasn't a top player, and I saw that the surface isn't that fast, the ball bounce in the air and you have to strike from a tall position.
