I gladly eat my words, The first time ever i bet against my home nation, and i am glad to say i lost, What a performance. Congrats also to Luxemborge, Every dog has its day.
Ireland. Leaders Dundalk will move six points clear at the top of the eircom League of Ireland First Division table if they can overcome bottom-of-the-table Kildare. Dundalk have faltered over the past fortnight and are now winless in two games since defeating second-placed Waterford United in their last home outing last month. That win shot Dundalk five points ahead of their nearest rivals. However, in the two subsequent away games, they have taken only one point from a possible six and now lead the standings by just three points, with Waterford holding a game in hand. Following a bad loss in Limerick two weeks ago, the the home side today, looked to be coasting back to winning ways in Athlone last Monday night when they took a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes. However, they were left stunned by the end, as Noel McGee struck twice to gain the midlanders a well deserved point. Now bidding to get back on track, however, Dundalk would seem to have a perfect opportunity here, against a team that is only one of two that the Louth club still hold a 100% record against this term. Kildare are also the team which upon, Dundalk inflicted their biggest win of the season to date, as the Thoroughbreds were on the end of a 6-0 thumping the last time they visited the border venue back in May. The sides have since met in Kildare, in mid-July, when goals from Paul Crowley and Jamie Duffy helped Dundalk to a narrow win and a precious three points. Dundalk will be without their joint-top goalscorer in all competitions, central midfielder Paul Crowley, But i am expecting a whole host of players returning, including the cause of last weeks draw, thru injury, the no1 goalie. Home win. F 14, M 24. Sweden. Orgryte v Landskrone, Gap 40, Home win, F 14 M 22. Orgryte have been solid in maintaining their position as league leaders, they are scoring and defending very well and are on a good winning run, home and away, team news is lacking, but one can only do his best. Landskrone appear to have come into some good foem, perhaps they have to some, but winning and losing to the bottom table dwellers can not instill confidence with their supporters. |

Waterford v Monaghan, Gap 85, Home win. F17 M 25.
Gareth Cronin will be itching to get his side back to action having seen last week’s game called off against Shelbourne due to a flooded Tolka Park. The Blues are on a solid run of form, with four wins and one draw in their last six games, scoring 14 times in the process. The two games between the sides this season have been at polar opposites, a freewheeling 5-0 demolition of Mons in the first and a 0-0 to follow. More recently Monaghan have recorded excellent wins away from home at Kildare and Longford, showing that they are no slouches on their travels, but the Blues will not be happy with anything less than a convincing victory. That home win at the start of May included a Sullivan hat-trick (and a missed penalty), and the Dungarvan striker will be strongly pushing for a starting place after scoring as a second half substitute against Kildare two weeks ago. But with the current strike pairing of Bermingham and Grincell in such good form manager Gareth Cronin will have a bit of a headache ahead of tonights match, albeit a very pleasant one. Luke Fitzpatrick is available to line out against his old side having been suspended for the Kildare match, and John Hayes returns from a bout of 'flu, so, with the exception of long-term absentee Paul McCarthy, Cronin will have a full squad to choose from. Monaghan United will be without keeper Brendan Kennedy, Ian Malone and striker David Scully due to injury. Andrew Haran is suspended. Otherwise Mick Cooke will have a strong squad to pick from. Waterford are unbeaten at home. 13 played, 10 wins, 3 draws. Hartlepool v Cheltenham. Strikers Brown and Barker, are set to show their worth for the home side who are in general good spirit and tough at home. Midfielders Boland and Jones are out along with defender Clark, more important is the late test on defender Nelson, who i think will pass fit. Cheltenham are struggling up front after the forced sale of top strikers and internationals Gillespie and Brooker, a further striker Spencer is out along with middleman Finnigan. Not much to offer in the rear, for both these sides, but the home side have the edge. Home win. |

Lester v Millwall.
14 times these 2 have met, with all the spoils from 9 going to Lester, plus 3 draws, last season it was 2 out of 2. No loss as of yet for the home side, 9 goals scored 1 conceded only, players are out but only one has featured lately, Defender Tunchev, who is on a late test. Millwalls only win thus far against, shit, I forgot, Northampton or Hudders, whatever, they will make no forced changes from that match, but will include, from the injury list, Tresor Kandol, striker. This same team went 2 up away to Oldham only to lose concentration, and the game 4-3. Home win. Southend v Hereford. Justifiably I have gone against Southend in the few games played, for one reason or another, but in this one, they are at their strongest, with only midfielder Mc,Cormack the backbone missing, His place is filled with the return of Chelsea loanee Sawyer, who I think has filled the void, tho has not featured of late thru injury, as with a couple of other keys. Last seasons upward movement for Hereford came about thru loaned players, late in the season, namely Campbell from Man U, their is one other striker, but his name I cant remember, offhand, anyway both options are unavailiable, Defender Threlfell has returned to Liverpool with a broken arm, Influential midfielder Macleod is out, along with strikers Williams and Ashikodi, both will be missed. Home win. Two other Homes you should consider are Birmingham and Nottingham Forest. Aways, Leeds, Carlisle, Colchester, Swansea. I think Newcastle players will be hacked off, and with Hulls strengthening, they will be in for a rough ride, I expect no less than a draw for Hull. Liverpool almost at full might, Torres and Gerrard will play against the Champions, Manchester Utd. 3 points for Utd with Berbatov making his mark. Blackburn v Arsenal, or should I say, Blackburn v Walcott and the English public, Away win. A result with Hartlepool does not constitute a great deal of confidence for the weekend, Tho I expect no losses from every team mentioned, I will only play the 2 Full Gap games with vigor, I have not completed on the rest, as there is not enough form to be convincing. |

Thanks for your analysis again English, I will be following a few of your choices but I'm not to sure Leeds will win at Swindon, just one of those feelings I guess.
Good luck! |

Roger. Charlton v Wolves, Charlton have quality players and can switch on and off like a light bulb, they can win today 2-0 or lose 2-0, Wolves are on the up and keep plugging on for the whole match, i would suggest a draw.
I have already mentioned Man U, Perhaps i was not clear? Away win, 0-1. While i am here, do not expect much from Man City, new players need time to gel, Robinho is in for a shock, in English football, should be fun to watch. Drogba is back tho he will miss Ballack. 0-2 for Chelsea, at least. |
