Thanks aka, for your shoulder. It may appear results are poor coming from me, but as i say, it is far to early to benefit from form, just a few more weeks needed. Some may have lost yesterday, but those like you that keep abreast with what i say, would have had the 4 Brazil games in the bag, as posted on friday.
The high temps here is awfull 30 in the shade, with humidity, I also have work in the garden to complete befor the rains come, so my posts will be limited for a while, when i return to normal i would expect to see a huge improvment in results. Thanks Radek, for the 30. |

Singapore.
Young Lions v KSR. With nine matches of the 2008 S.League season to go, Super Reds lie in third place, three points adrift of leaders Home United but with one match in hand. They will be given the chance to sidle up alongside the Protectors at the top when they play their match in hand against Young Lions, today. The return of skipper Park Ki Wook from suspension is sure to give them a lift, although Park Kang Jin, sent off for his involvement in a fracas in the match against Woodlands Wellington, is suspended for the tie. They come up against a resurgent Young Lions side for whom Fadhil Noh, Firdaus Idros and Fairoz Hassan have been finding the net lately. Back-to-back wins against Sengkang Punggol and Balestier Khalsa have stretched their unbeaten run to five games, although they are almost certain to find the title-chasing Super Reds a much tougher opponent than the league’s bottom two sides. Against Super Reds, they will face a team that are much more clinical in front of goal, who are much harder running and whose swift pass-and-move style of play they have already failed to contain twice this season, first when they lost 1-0 in March and then again in May when they were beaten 3-1. The suspensions of Hamqaamal Shah and Obadin Aikhena will not help their cause, although coach V Sundram Moorthy has been cheered by the recent run of form. Away win. |

Leaders Dundalk will be aiming to bounce back from their first defeat in eight games when they travel to the midlands to face Athlone Town.
Along with Wexford Youths and Kildare County, Athlone are the only team that Dundalk still hold a 100% record against this term, although their last victory over the midlanders came in controversial circumstances, at Oriel Park back in July. With the game looking destined for a scoreless draw, the home side were awarded a dubious spot-kick in the final minute of normal time - one which Trevor Vaughan converted - before Athlone were denied what appeared a certain penalty in the fourth minute of injury-time. That win led to the Dundalk eight-match unbeaten run. Athlone Town have not beaten Dundalk since June 2006. In fact, in their last nine meetings in all competitions,Dundalk have won ALL nine! On an aggregate score of 25-3! Athlone have 4 keys out, Strikers Mernagh, Sheridan, Midfielders O' Dowd, Scullion. Dundalk, with top striker Farrell carrying a knock is a doubt and strikers Martin, Mulnenna are out, replacements for these 3 are ample and are backed by a superior midfield and solid back line. Away win. A good start to the week KSR 5-0. |

It happens, Dundalk 2 up, secumb to a draw, I think their goalie got injured?.
Singapore. Ivan has given the over, which i think is a good call. Albirex came from a goal behind, last week to beat SAF, This team is now clicking, you may decide to take the 7.5 on offer, but Home Utd are a totally different kettle of fish, they wont just score and sit back, like the Italians used to do, and which, i might add, Inter are starting to again, and SAF. Home will press all the way, a mistake now will see KSR, in with a chance at the shake up. Away win. Sweden. Vasby v Enkoping, Gap 67, Home win. Brazil. Ceara v Parana, Gap 77, Home win. |

Personally I think Croatia are the better team and with England playing so poorly against Andorra on Saturday I think the English lads have got some points to prove. Capello was extremely annoyed with a couple of our boys for not doing their jobs properly (not doing what they were told). I still think that we lack a top quality goal scorer and can't see there being all that many goals scored all together! I think your prediction of a draw is a good one but it might be worth backing x2

The only change i have seen to date, over the past 5 years is the manager, Same ole, Same ole. I gave England a 5 goal win, last week, not because i expected something new from the team, but, soley because they played Andorra. Any team with 2 quick strikers up front will tear England apart, without answare. If Edmundo were playing i would say Croatia would stuff England, as it is, just one or two goals to Croatia, without reply, unless England can talk Scolari into the job, with another 3 Joe Coles. Home win.
