Ok I usually wait to watch the 1st round playoff games before choosing my champions pick.
NBA
Well after watching I'm pretty confident the NBA champs will come from the EAST which narrows It down to I think 3 teams cavs, magic and hawks both cavs and magic have been impressive but the magic definetly look the most balanced team j.nelson has moved to another level recently he's starting to show his ability before he had a serious injury. Throw in Howard in the paint and some decent defense and you have a difficult match up for clevland ok shaq looks the fittest he's been in years and gives the cavs something different but I think the magic know overall there a better TEAM than the cavs and as a result I think they'll let le bron have his 30 odd points per game and make the rest if the cavs have to beat them which leads me to a value pick of 4/1 for the MAGIC to be Nba champs!

I love the bookies Detroit Red wings 6/1 to win the Stanley cup yes please!
Ok the red wings have had an up and down regular season but this team is stacked with amazing talent who have been there and win numerous championships zetterburg, datschuk, hollstrom the list is endless however it's the 3rd and 4th lines which have improved. Ok the phoenix took them 7 games but that's not a bad think after an early scare in the first few games the wings offense became unstoppable with there powerplay % increasing this team is dangerous!! The sharks in the next round just can't see wings not winning ok sharks will improve from there 1st round against colorado but the wings will no doubt dominate possession and if Howard can perform between the pipes I have no doubt the wings will score more than 2-3 goals a game against the sharks! Most of these games may go over!!!
Overall the best value for NHL championship is clearly red wings!!!
