Manchester United - Roma

TEAM NEWS

Manchester United

The major injury news for United is the injury sustained by number one goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, in Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Birmingham City. Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Polish goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak will make his first UEFA Champions League start for Manchester United.
Defensive duo Nemanja Vidic and Wes Brown are injury doubts after picking up knocks against Birmingham City on Saturday. If they do not make the game, they will be replaced by Gerard Pique and John O'Shea respectively.
Gary Neville is still a couple of weeks away with a calf strain, while Mikael Silvestre has a long term knee problem, which will see him out of action until next year.

In more positive news, Owen Hargreaves has recovered from his fitness problems and is in contention to make his first Champions League appearance for the Reds.

Roma

There isn’t much that has changed on the injury front for Roma, with winger Rodrigo Taddei still a few weeks away from a return with a calf injury and defender Marco Andreolli is also some time away from a comeback. Christian Panucci, who only returned from injury against Inter on Saturday, has had another setback and hasn't travelled to Manchester.
However Alberto Aquilani could return to the starting line-up, after shaking off a minor injury that saw him sit out Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat to Inter. If he plays, Aquilani should displace Pizarro in his favored defensive-midfield position, alongside Daniele De Rossi. Simone Perrotta has also recovered from a thigh injury to play in the city where he was born.

POSSIBLIE STARTING LINE-UPS

Manchester United (4-4-2) Kuszczak; Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Brown; Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Ronaldo; Tevez, Rooney

Roma (4-2-3-1) Doni; Tonetto, Juan, Mexes, Panucci; Aquilani, De Rossi; Mancini, Perrotta, Giuly; Totti

Last year the game ended 7-1 for Untd, but i can't see the same happening again. In this moment Roma are playing the better football, although the result are showing the opposite. Like Perrotta said this is desteny, both teams playing again so soon after the last year's humiliating result. Today Ronaldo said that last year Roma players begged him to for mercy. I think today the destiny will get back the thing that gave last year to Man Untd. Moreover Vidic is doubtful for Untd and he is the only one consistent player for them from the start of the season in contrast to Rio Ferdinant. Roma will get something from this game

Pick: Away win +0.5 AH

Steaua Bucharest - Arsenal

TEAM NEWS

Steaua Bucureşti

Steaua Bucureşti’s biggest change from their opening Champions League match is the departure of manager and Romanian goal scoring legend Georghe Hagi. He has been replaced by his Italian understudy, Massimo Pedrazzini, the fifth Italian manager in the Champions League this season.

Squad: Rufay, Ninu, Goian, Golanski, Rada, Radoi, Bicfalvi, Petre, Badea, Dică, Cernea, Emeghara, Cristocea, Nesu, Nicolita, Baciu, Marin, Iacob, Lovin, Plesan, Ghionea, Neaga, Croitoru, Badoi, Zaharia, Vatca, Surdu.

Arsenal
Belarusian playmaker Alexander Hleb is expected to be sidelined, after his clash with West Ham’s Ross Noble, during Arsenal’s 1-0 away win at the weekend, however he will be handed a late fitness test, so too Flamini, Diaby and Adebayor after a bruising encounter at Upton Park. Jens Lehmann (elbow), William Gallas (groin), Tomas Rosicky (Hamstring), Alex Song (calf) and Eduardo (groin) are all sidelined.

Squad (from): Diaby, Sagna, Fabregas, Toure, Senderos, Diarra, Van Persie, Denilson, Flamini, Silva, Fabianski, Clichy, Almunia, Adebayor, Bendtner, Eboue, Traore, Walcott, Hleb.

Although Arsenal are missing some key players they have the debth in the squad to get all the points in this game. Steaua like every South-eastern Europe team are playing well, but when they face a class opponent they make some stupid mistakes and lose the game. Like Dinamo Bucharest against Lazio, like Partizan against Rangers or Like Olympiakos against Lazio in the last round in the CL.

Pick: Away win

MU can win this one. Don't think Roma can make a surprise. they'll try to make better, than last year, but this can disturb their game
