no, Ajkson...I said that Steaua - Arsenal 1-0 on handycap. That means that Arsenal won't beat Steaua at handycap - more the one goal...that was my bet...

Yes but what you mean is 1.5 and not 1 handicap. For example, you will win Steaua - Arsenal with 1-0 handicap if the result is a draw, if it is 2-1 - you will loose

Hi, Special K!
No, at my local bookie, Steaua should lose with 2 or more goals difference in order to ruin my ticket...If Steaua win, it's a draw or Steaua lose with only one goal, the ticket is ok...
let me explain...
MANCHESTER - ROMA 0-1 means that the game starts from the 0-1 score for the hosts...so handycap 1 means that Man win by 2 or more goals...

Ok i see. But this is weird. I bet on bet 365, there u cam bet Roma +1, which means that the game starts with the score 0-1. Then if Roma wins or it's draw you win. But if MU wins 2-1 for example, with your handicap you have the final score 2-2, so you loose your bet as ypu chose Roma to win. But u will win it if you bet Roma +1.5 as the score will be 2-2.5. The odds are low of course. You can also try roma +1 + 1.5. This means higher odds, but imagine. You do it as a single 10 euros bet. Let's say odds are 2. So you will win another 10 with your bet. If it's a draw or Roma wins it's OK. But if MU wins, you will have 1/2 of your bet voided. thus if the score is 2-1, you will get your 10 back and only 5 as the gain. But here the odds are too high - it was just an example. For MU - Roma game +1+1.5 will be quoted around 1.4 - 1.7.

Maybe they have ASIAN HANDICAP. In Romania there are EUROPEAN HANDICAPS and if you choose Roma +1 and manchester united wins 2-1 you win...I took this kind of bets in my local and the ticket was a winner ;)

Here's the AH guide from VCbet, it may prove helpful:
GUIDE TO ASIAN HANDICAP BETTING
Asian Handicaps are a relatively new type of betting opportunity which are offered on football matches.
As well as the normal 90-minute prices on a game, an Asian Handicap is created which gives a roughly equal chance to both teams.
This allows for a very competitive market to be offered for the customer, even if in the game itself one side is a very strong favourite.
Listed below is a comprehensive reference guide to all the different Asian Handicaps that can be given.
Asian Handicaps may appear complicated at first, but they are actually very easy to understand and can offer a more interesting opportunity to the football fan.
In-Running Asian Handicaps
All bets on the Asian Handicap in-running market are settled according to the scoreline for the remainder of the game after the bet has been struck. ie. any goals prior to the bet being placed are ignored for settlement purposes.
SINGLE HANDICAPS
Handicap 0.5: 1.95 Man Utd (-0.5) v Arsenal (0.5) 1.85
The figure in brackets is the handicap and the number by the team is the decimal price on offer.
This means Man Utd are an imaginary half a goal behind at the start of the match.
If you bet on Man Utd, they have to win the match.
If you bet on Arsenal, you win if Arsenal win, or if the match is a draw.
Handicap 0:
You win if your selected team wins.
If it is a draw, you are returned your stake.
Handicap 1:
If you choose the -1 handicapped selection, the team must win by at least 2 clear goals (2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc). If it only wins by one goal (1-0, 2-1, 3-2) the stake is refunded. If you select the opposition (+1) team you win if the team wins or draws the match. If it loses by one goal the stake is refunded
Handicap 1.5:
If you select the -1.5 handicapped team you win if the team wins the match by two or more goals.
If you select the opposition (+1.5) team you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if it loses by one goal.
Handicap 2:
If you select the -2 handicapped team you win if they win by three or more goals. If they win by two goals the stake is refunded.
If you select the opposition (+2) team then you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if they lose by one goal. If they lose by two goals your stake is refunded.
Handicap 2.5:
If you select the -2.5 handicapped team you win if they win by three or more goals.
If you select the opposition (+2.5) team you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if the team loses the match by less than three goals.
DOUBLE HANDICAP
In double handicap betting the wager is split in two.
An example of a double bet handicap would be:
Leeds Utd. v West Ham
(-½,-1) (+½,+1)
In this example half the money is placed on Leeds minus half a goal and the other half on Leeds minus 1 goal. The result of the bet is worked out using the system as described above.
Double Handicap 0, 0.5 (also known as level half):
If you select the (0, -0.5) handicapped team you win if the team wins by one goal or more. If it draws you lose 50 per cent of the stake.
If you select the opposition (0, +0.5) team you win if the team wins the match. If it draws, half your stake is returned and half is a winner at the odds taken.
Double handicap 0.5, 1:
If you select the (-0.5, -1) handicapped team. You win if the team wins the match by two or more goals. If it wins by one goal, half your stake is returned and half is a winner at the odds taken.
If you select the opposition (+0.5, +1) team you win if the team wins or draws the match. If it loses by one goal, you lose 50 per cent of the amount staked.
Double handicap: 1, 1.5:
If you select the (-1, -1.5) handicapped team you win if the team wins the match by two goals or more. If it wins by one goal you lose 50 per cent of the stake.
If you select the opposition (+1, +1.5), you win if the team wins, draws the match. Also if it loses the match by one goal half your stake is returned and half is a winner at the odds taken.
Double handicap 1.5, 2:
If you select the (-1.5, 2) handicapped team, you win if the team wins the match by three or more goals. If your team wins by two goals, half your stake is returned and half is a winner at the odds taken.
If you select the opposition (+1.5, +2) team, you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if the team loses by one goal. If it loses with a two goal difference, half your stake is returned and half your stake is lost.
Double handicap 2, 2.5:
If you select the (-2, -2.5) handicapped team, you win if the team wins the match by three or more goals. If your team wins by two goals you lose 50 per cent of the stake.
If you select the opposition (+2, +2.5) team, you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if the team loses by one goal. If it loses with a two goal difference, half your stake is returned and half is a winner at the odds taken.
