Portuguese League - Round 6

No time for great explanations today, sorry...

But I have confidence in two games:


Belenenses vs Paços de Ferreira
Belenenses at 1,90 at Betfair

Belenenses rested most of their regulars in the league cup game, plays at home and will have a 3-5-2 as a system of play, so I can see them controlling the game. Paços have some injuries, 3 regulars are out, they are normally a bad away team and with a 4-3-3 and the bad forwards they have, their only chance to score in this game is a lucky goal.


Nacional vs Naval
Nacional at 1,92 at Betfair

Nacional almost lost their league cup game on pourpose, as their chairman said in the beggining of the season. They rested 6 regulars that didnt even travelled to the game. Nacional should end the league in the top 8 so they are underperforming and if Nacional didnt win this game, the manager will be sacked. Naval is without a manager and players are unhappy with the situation. The team hasnt big quality and they can be easily beated.

What about tomorrow's game between Academica and Leixoes?

Academica vs Leixoes
Leixoes at 3,30 at Betfair

Academica is a team that normally only fight to not relegate. Last season they got the salvation in last rounds and this year we will see the same as the squad is weaker. Academica started the league with 1 point in 3 games and the manager was sacked. The new manager got them a victory against a tired Paços de Ferreira that is underperforming and then got a lucky draw against Boavista in a game they should have lose. Now I think its time to "new coach factor" goes away...
The squad has problems in the defence, where the defenderes are slow and the left defender attacks better than he defends. Also in the central midfield they have problems and they cant control a game or build good plays.

Leixoes came from 5 draws, but not any draws. They draw against Benfica, Guimaraes, Nacional and Paços away for example, what is good results. Still, the players want a win and they want them as soon as possible. With Paulo Machado and Pedro Cervantes back on the team, the midfield will be under leixoes control, and Vieirinha in the wing should take care of Academica wingerback and carry the team on his back. Its time to win.

Lost! Leixoes scored first but did managed to get the win, as usual... 6 draw in a row for them... No money in my pocket but I'm still happy as the value was all there... Should had taken the handicap +0,5 at 1,80...
