West Ham - Arsenal

TEAM NEWS

West Ham

After a difficult time of it with injuries, Alan Curbishley could welcome back Craig Ballamy, whose pace was sorely missing against Newcastle and will be sure to give Arsenal headaches. Scott Parker came through the Carling Cup tie unscathed so should figure. There’s also a return to The Emirates for a fit again Freddie Ljungberg.
Bobby Zamora is missing with a knee injury, Calum Davenport has a troublesome calf and Nigel Quashie is out with a knee injury. Julien Faubert and Kieron Dyer are still around six months away from action.

Squad (from): Wright, Green, Neill, Ferdinand, Upson, Gabbidon, McCartney, Bowyer, Mullins, Noble, Etherington, Ashton, Cole, Pantsil, Collins, Spector, Ljungberg, Parker, Boa Morte, Davenport, Reid, Bellamy.

Arsenal

In relation to West Ham, Arsenal are fairing quite well with injuries. A big boost will be the return to action of Alex Hleb who has been passed fit for the match. New striker Eduardo’s difficult introduction to English football is worsened following a groin injury sustained against Newcastle in midweek, Alex Song also picking up an injury in the same game.
Keeper Jens Lehmann is still out with an elbow injury, and captain William Gallas is likely to be out for another week with his groin complaint. Theo Walcott is rested.

Squad (from): Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Senderos, Clichy, Hleb, Fabregas, Flamini, Diaby, Adebayor, van Persie, Fabianski, Gilberto, Eboue, Diarra, Denilson, Hoyte, Bendtner

I just can't see this West Ham team gettting smth from the most in-form team in England. Last season the Hammers won both games in this London derby, so Arsenal will be eager to win. This season West Ham are scoring a lot but they are also conceding a lot.

Pick: Away win, Away win -1,5AH

Bayer Leverkusen - Bayern Munich

TEAM NEWS

Leverkusen

Bernd Schneider, absent for the last two matches, may be brought back for this top-of-the-table clash. The veteran midfielder was suffering with a bruised knee. Hans Sarpei should reclaim his spot at left back – Gresko looked shaky in the position against Nuremburg. Ramelow, Faty, Freier and Callsen-Bracker are still sidelined.

Starting XI (4-2-3-1); Adler – Castro, Friedrich, Haggui, Sarpei – Vidal, Rolfes – Kiessling, Schneider, Barnetta - Gekas

Bayern

Turkish international Hamit Altıntop continues to impress in midfield and deservedly keeps Schweinsteiger out of the side. Lucio and Zé Roberto should start as they return to their former club. Bayern received a blow in midweek as it emerged that Valérien Ismaël requires an operation on his knee. The Frenchman has already been out for over a year with a calf injury.

Starting XI (4-4-2): Kahn – Lahm, Lucio, Demichelis, Jansen – Altintop, Van Bommel, Zé Roberto, Ribéry – Klose, Toni

In recent years Leverkusen have a very bad record against Bayern and i think it will continue in this game. Leverkusen have weaknesses in defence, but they have a great keeper - Adler who can't stop Bayern strikers.I'm sure it will be an open attacking game, because Leverkusen will try to get the win.

Pick:Away win, Over 2.5 goals
