Well, this is a new competition in Portugal, this is the first year that its played. Most of the clubs wont be concerned about this trophy and they prefer to rest players for the league games. The federation predict that and the clubs are obligated to play with 5 players that have been in the starting eleven for the last 2 games...
Still, many substitutes will be used, so lets get some underdogs...
Leixoes vs Leiria
Leixoes had a draw last game and they are still to give a victory to their supporters. This are their chance. They play at home, where they are a good team, they have only an important player injured and Leixoes will chance less the team than Leiria. Away team will play the 3rd game in 6 days and that will be too much for them. Leixoes at 2,00.
Penafiel vs Nacional
Penafiel is the last classified in portuguese 2nd league. They only got a point in 5 games so you can see that they arent playing well. Nacional should win as they have better players and they need a win, after some results that put their manager on danger. The question is that Nacional's president i nthe beginning of the season said that Nacional would lose just to get more rest to the league. I think he was lying so take Nacional at 1,90.
Portimonense vs Belenenses
A bad team from 2nd league against a good but tired team from the first league. Belenenses will play the 3rd game in 6 days. They have gone to Germany, came back, went to Madeira, came back, and now go to Algarve. There's too many km so they will have some dificulties even Portimonense not being a great team. Take the draw at 3,30.
Beira-Mar vs Paços de Ferreira
A good team from the second league, but that lost their manager to a bigger club this week, against a very tired team with lack of depth in the squad. Paços also have some injuries, so it will be a hard game for this team that always have problems when play away. Take the draw at 3,40.
Fatima vs Porto
Fatima is the big surprise of this year in the second league, they are playing well and getting points. It will be the game of their lifes so they will play like never before. Porto will rest most of the regulars and they are not playing as well as you can imagine from their records, so take Fatima or X at 4,00.
Estrela vs Benfica
Estrela is a good team at home, where they get almost all their points. They are a team full of strenght and they can get problems to Benfica. Away team will rest some regulars and without the mechanisms in the attack, it will be hard to resolve the game early. I will take the X at 3,90 and Benfica will win in the penalties...
