Middlesbrough - Sunderland
TEAM NEWS
Middlesbrough
French forward Jeremie Aliadiere (hamstring) will miss out so Turkish international Tuncay may partner Mido in attack. Defenders Emmanuel Pogatetz (knee), Chris Riggot and Robert Huth (ankle) are all expected to miss out.
Possible Starting XI (4-4-2): Schwarzer - Young, Woodgate, Wheater, Taylor - Boateng, Rochemback, Arca, Downing - Tuncay, Mido.
Sunderland:
Carlos Edwards (hamstring) and Dean Whitehead (knee) join Kieran Richardson on the treatment table giving Keane problems in midfield. Defenders Stanislav Varga (knee) and Russell Anderson (thigh) will also be sidelined along with Graham Kavanagh and striker Andrew Cole.
Possible Starting XI (4-4-2): Gordon, McShane, Nosworthy, Higginbotham, Collins, Leadbitter, Etuhu, Yorke, Wallace - Jones, Chopra.
In the last round Boro were defeated by West Ham, bu although the 3-0 scoreline Middlesbrough didn't play bad, but they couldn't materealize their goalscoring chances. Sunderland show good display against Reading and get the 2-1 win at home, but today will be a different story in this Nort East derby. Boro have the experience and the class in midfield on their side which i think will be the key factor for a home win
Pick :Home win
TEAM NEWS
Sevilla
Adriano is likely to miss out yet again on the left, while Javi Navarro's lengthy recuperation continues at centre-back.
The midfield could see change, Duda, Keita and Renato all looking to get back into the side, while Tom de Mul has a chance of some playing time up front.
Possible Starting XI: Palop; Alves, Fazio, Escude, Dragutinovic; Navas, Poulsen, Keita, Capel; Kanoute, Kone.
Barcelona
Gaby Milito and Rafa Marquez partnered up at centre-back midweek and could well do so again as Carles Puyol remains unready to start his season.
Up front, Bojan and to an even greater extent Giovani are angling for starts, but three of the Fantastic Four start line up again in the absence of Samuel Eto'o.
Andres Iniesta may yet again warm the bench, but he has his eye on Deco's place...
Possible Starting XI: Valdes; Zambrotta, Milito, Marquez, Abidal; Xavi, Toure, Iniesta; Messi, Henry, Ronaldinho.
In midweek Barca recorded a 3-0 home win against Lyon but the attacking trio didn't show what it is capable of, only MESSIah show his potential. On the other side Sevilla were brought back to Earth with the 3-0 loss at the Emirates. Last year's game Barca were to get the 2-1 win after they were 1 goal behind at the break. The most important thing in this game will be - who will score the first goal. If Sevilla score an early goal, which i think will happen, the game will very open with both teams attacking. But if Barca scores i think it will be more a tactical defencive game - Like against Lyon.
Pick: Over 2,5 goals Sevilla +0,5 AH
Fulham – Manchester City
TEAM NEWS
Fulham:
Lawrie Sanchez has more of a selection headache than injury worries. After splashing out over £15m on new faces Sanchez is still looking to see what his definitive first-team will be. He still has long-term injured with knee ligament damage pair Brian McBride and Jimmy Bullard unavailable, but in their absence David Healy will take over goal-scoring duties and two from either Danny Murphy, Seoul Ki-Hyeon or Harem Bouazza shall provide the width and creativity. Clint Dempsey deserves a note, for he seems a rejuvenated player under Sanchez and has returned an already handsome three league goals. He will be threat with his energetic running and will probably be the target of City’s Dietmar Hamann to perform his usual shackling duties.
Possible Starting XI: Niemi, Baird, Hughes, Bocanegra, Konchesky, Davies , Davis, Smertin, Bouazza , Dempsey, Healy.
Manchester City:
Mr. Liar, Liar Bums on Fire, a.k.a Stephan Ireland may be recalled to the starting line-up in replace of the injured Darius Vassell (knee). Although after a good whack over the head from both Grandmas after his comically deplorable antics, he may be in no fit condition to provide his trademark vision and craft. After missing his first match for City in an age, skipper Richard Dunne shall resume his formidable defensive partnership with Richards. Otherwise, apart from long-term absentee Valeri Bojinov (knee), Sven has no squad worries. Look out for Roland Bianchi to start only his second game of the season after impressing the fans with his enthusiasm when bought on late against Villa.
Possible Starting XI: Schmeichel, Dunne, Richards, Corluka, Garrido, Ireland, Johnson, Hamann, Petrov, Bianchi, Elano .
From the start of the season it is obvious that Fulham have problems in defence( i think that they've conceded at least 1 goal in every Premierleague game). They have good goalscoring record, but now the manager have problems with who to choose in the starting XI. Man City have a superb defence, which is the key factor in their recent success. Expect another world-class display from Elano capped with some assists against the weak Fulham defence.
Pick: Away win
