Lets say Man U’s base rating is 50, Barca is 40, Gap 10, Home win, 1 hour before kick off you check the web sites, you see Barca at full strength, but United have lost Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Nani, in a road accident, they are in hospital under observation, you must now deduct 100 points from the United base rate, leaving, -50, Barca gain 50 = Gap 90, Away win. Easy, increase stake, bet Barca to win in all bets.

You may have gambled all your life, and have very little to show from it, Now you will become a bettor, as you will be able to rely on your own study, become more competent and confident, your losing days are about to end.

Team Form Rating’s, The Gap. Come’s in 2 stages. Basic Gap comes first of which I use daily; I go to secondary when I post a full commentary, usually Saturdays, and when I am playing a large bet. I have spent a long time in perfecting the Gap and have made it simple to follow.

Basic Gap.

Go to SV main page, select League i.e. English League 2. It does not matter, the Gap works everywhere. Write down all the games for today, like so,

Grimsby Wycombe.
Rochdale Barnet. And so on.

Go to Tables; take the season’s goals scored and goals conceded, from all teams. Grimsby is 53 – 57, Wycombe is 52 – 40.

Grimsby 53, - 57. – 4 - 6 = - 14 Wycombe 52, - 40. 0 + 10 = + 22. The basic Gap 36 in favor of Wycombe.

Go to Home table, and then to away table, take the goal difference from each team. Grimsby is 25 scored 29 conceded = - 4. Wycombe is 26 scored 26 conceded = 0. Now go to results look at Grimsby’s last 2 home games, allow 2 points for each draw. 5 points per win. Give 3 points for every goal scored. Deduct 3 points for every goal conceded; you will see Grimsby as – 6, Wycombe as +10. Now do the math, Grimsby 53 – 57 – 4 – 6 = -14, Wycombe = 22.

Part 2.

Ok, you have gone for Div 2 in England, You have rated every game, and now have 20 sets of match figures in front of you, but you are not going to cover them all, Sit back and take stock, Get a coffee. Look at the figures, if you see a home side scoring well but conceding few, and the away side in the opposite, underline that game, you may see a team that have more points taken in their last 2 matches that seem out of character, underline that game, look for 4 or 5 outstanding teams, if you do not find them, then you need to focus on another division. The first team you fancy is Wycombe, with a base team rating of +22.
Go to your Task bar, type Wycombe FC, enter, Click on the official web site, Enter site, You are now looking for key players that are not playing for one reason or other, Check out, Latest news, Injuries, Suspensions, Managers comments, Game preview, Team news, you may find a comment, as follows, a big blow for us is that J Bloggs and I Smith both have broken legs. Now go to Team homepage and find what positions these 2 play in, you need to post this information when you do a comment, as it shows you have done your home work, Bloggs is a striker, Smith a midfielder, Next go to the match drop down and click on Team Stats, you will see a list of goal scorers, look for our two players and note how many goals they have scored, say 10 for Bloggs, 5 for Smith, at the top of the page is another set of drop downs, click on 2008, then move right and click the other drop down, click then, on Assists, Note the Assists by our two players and Double them, i.e. Bloggs 5 Assists = 10, Smith 3 = 6. Add all the figures together, you should, have 31, this figure must be deducted from Wycombs Team form rating of +22, which now reads – 9. Go through the whole thing again with Grimsby, this time you find you have ten players out, with a figure of 55 points to be deducted, Grimsby’s Team rating is – 14, deduct 55 = -69. Final Summery, Grimsby, 53. – 57. – 4. -6. = -14 – 55. = -69. Wycombe, 52. - 40. 0. +10. = +22 – 31. = -9. Gap 60, Away win. I have made an improvement of late, which covers the effect of defenders, see how you get on.

Hy John. Why you deducted 55 points for ten players? What is the improvement for the defenders?

What gap has to be, to play that match? Ex. in Dundalk - Limerick, the gap is:
Dundalk = 56-28+18+5 = 51
Limerick = 46-39+5+19 = 31
Gap 1 = 20 Dundalk win.
For gap = 20, odd for Dundalk win 1.45, do you think it's worth to play that match. Or you don't play one match, unless the gap is not minimum 40-45? For that match (Dundalk - Limerick) i see more one draw, or Limerick win, but gap is in favor of Dundalk.
Opinion?

Hi Dock, The Gap 2 example was an actual game to whit Wycombe won, But i can not remember individual player deductions. While current Gap 2 commentaries by me are precise i am not posting the Gap figures tho i do record them in my notes, i only keep my notes until i post,they are then discarded. Once i have finished my studies today, i will come back and post about Defenders.

Your Gap 1 game Dundalk, looks good, but you must bring Gap 2 into play, Irish web sites for league 2 are left wanting, i tend to take the availiabe previews into consideration, the best site for this is Extratime.ie previews are often posted late in the day, but may already be posted for tonight. Befor i bet the Irish games i always refer to this site.

Central defenders more often than realized win games, as they move up for corners and free kicks, These players generally exceed 6 foot and gain a lot of attention when on the prowl, Even left and right backs claim a share in assists as they often thwart a bye line attack and scream up the wing to let loose a cross into the box. Watch how Chelsea utilizes them. Ascertaining who the keys are is simple. First find who are missing, then in the stats drop downs, find how many times they have played. For left and right backs deduct 1 point per game, Centrals 2 points per game played you must also deduct any points gained re assists and goals scored. You can of coarse adopt the appearance stats in defining any key player that does not feature at any goal mouth, such as holding or defensive midfielders, deduct 2 points for each and all per game played plus the usuall.

I am continually working to improve the Gap, but at this time of season, time is lacking, I am always here and happy to see suggestions, Did you, dule, notice, this morning Sky Sports did a piece on Defenders and how tall they are? Makes me wonder how far our posts travel.
