The party has started once again, and the best football is upon us. With the best football comes the best money making and money losing :D This years CHL will have something different in regards to the previous ones. This year all the "Big guns" have started poorly in their domestic leagues and it will be interesting to see how they will bounce back today. My eye is on the coaches. The "Virgins" of the Champions league this year will be very interesting to see how they fit in, or not. As always expect the unexpected, big games, boring games, crazy results, turnarounds and lots of goals!
GROUP A

It's a big night for Felipe Scolari. Funny how this works, Scolari who has won the WC has never coached a CHL team. If coaches are to blame when a team starts losing games then I'll give him all the credit for Chelsea's great start to the season. He's really turned them in to an attacking force. Keep in mind though how the blues started their season last year, with a loss against Rosenborg. Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc is also leading out a side in the competition for the first time. The 42-year-old led Les Girondins to second place in the 2007/08 Ligue 1 table in his debut season as a coach, yet knows his team face a huge test of their mental and technical capabilities both at Stamford Bridge and in Group A. This should be a standard home win for Chelsea tonight, not the best of odds, but hey, let's give it a raise and play it HT/FT.
Pick : HT/FT Chelsea/Chelsea @ 1.65
Alt pick : Over @ 1.95

Luckily for FC ROMA roses aren't blooming for the big Romanian surprise new comers Cluj either. Fine 2007/08 performances brought these rivals second place in Serie A and a first Romanian championship respectively, but this season has shown rather less promise for either side. Roma have one point from two games amid a mini injury crisis while CFR's indifferent Liga 1 form led to the replacement earlier this month of coach Ioan Andone with his Italian assistant Maurizio Trombetta.
Due to this I suppose Roma will "grind" out a victory tonight. The Romanians will be playing bunker for sure, so I don't expect too many goals here. Maybe a 2:0 win for Roma. Not to be disrespected in any way, Cluj can pull a crazy surprise win or even draw here tonight, but I'm hoping this wont happen.
Pick : Roma AH -1 @ 1.75
Alt pick : Score line 2:0 @ 6.00
