English Premier League: Derby v Newcastle - Away win , also with the -1EH or the -3/4 AH for better odds
Newcastle along with Arsenal, Liverpool and Blackburn are among the only four teams still unbeaten in this season Premiership. The three others played in the weekend and they satyed unbeaten and undoubtedly Newcastle will also look forward not only to stay unbeaten but to get the win at low rock-bottom Derby. They’ll leapfrog five teams including Man U and Chelsea to go fourth if they win tonight.
Derby are winless in their five league games with one draw and four defeats and show a poor goal tally of 3-15. Since July they played 9 games and show a very poor record: LLDDLLLLL. They’ve conceded in these games 20 goals excluding the 8-9 defeat to Blackpool in the cup on 28th August. They were thrashed 6-0 by Liverpool in last league game two weeks ago and unless a big improvement on their part in these two weeks, Derby cannot be expected to make the weight against in-form and successful Newcastle tonight.
Newcastle are unbeaten in nine of their last 10 games and the only defeat was seven games ago by 1-0 against Hull City. Newcastle won six of these 10 games and their opponents in these games wins included Celtic (4-1), Juventus (2-0) Sampdoria 1-0, Bolton 3-1, Barnsley 2-0 and Wigan 1-0. But only one win was away win on Bolton.
As regards the line-up Newcastle will have a late check on Michael Owen while Mark Viduka should be fit and Emre is doubtful.
Derby will again miss suspended Craig Ragan while striker Kenny Miller might be given a debut.
I believe that Newcastle are well able to win that game and as regards the score line; Derby have conceded an average of three goals per game; in last H2H at home they were beaten 3-2 by Newcastle and the latter could well score and beat the -1 ball handicap. :)
