At the beginning of qualifications Portugal and Serbia were considered as favorites to take position one and two in group A. But currently Portugal is on 3rd place one point above Serbia. Leaders Poland and Finland had one match more and 4 i.e 2 points more than Portugal. So, at least 2nd place is still an option for Portuguese and Serbian national squad.

Portugal are expecting this match after draw at home with Poland, while Serbia had disappointing 0:0 with Finland. In my opinion Portugal is overpriced today because Serbia is a team which could beat almost any team in Europe. Serbia didn't have good results in last two games but Zigic missed those matches and in Portugal he should start from the beginning. Yes, there are more stars in Portuguese selection but it looks they are not compatible in team. I see real chances for Serbia to stay unbeaten as they have quality to match with home team.

Probable teams:

PORTUGAL (4-2-3-1): Ricardo; Miguel, Jorge Andrade, Fernando Meira and Paulo Ferreira; Petit and Maniche ; Cristiano Ronaldo, Deco and Quaresma ; Nuno Gomes

SERBIA (4-4-2): Stojkovic; Rukavina, Ivanovic, Vidic and Dragutinovic; Stankovic, Jankovic , Krasic and Kovacevic; Žigic and Pantelic.

My pick is Serbia AH +1, with nice odds around 2.

What Darre is saying, is that the odds for Serbia are way too high and a waste not to bet on. I made my bet on Serbia because I perfectly know quality of our national team. Believe me we could beat any team , unfortunately also lose against any like Kazakhstan or Azerbeijan ...

For the millionth time... read again and again what Daresi and Me wrote. Tell me, did you really think Portugal deserved a 1.40 odd?? For a country (Serbia) to have players like Dejan Stankovic who lifted the trophy with Inter, Dragutinovic-Sevilla who won 2 Uefa cups in a row, 2m tall Nikola Zigic who plays for Valencia, Pantelic - Herta, Vidic - Manchester United who won the Premiership, and young players that took 2nd twice in a row in the European Under 21 competion and loads more players that i didnt name... Do u think its NOT smart to place a X2 or AH-1 on Srbia?? If so..then you should either stop betting or just read the forums my friend.

Srbia played good, they are strong but Portugal lost the game by its own mistake, they stoped playing in second half.. Portugal have stronger team but they made mistake, they depreciate the opponent. they repeated this twice in last two games..
