Liverpool - Chelsea (Semi-Final)
Last 5 matches for Liverpool:
Fulham - Liverpool 0-2
Liverpool - Blackburn 3-1
Liverpool - Arsenal 4-2
Arsenal - Liverpool 1-1
Arsenal - Liverpool 1-1
Team news: Steven Gerrard is a doubt for Tuesday’s game after picking up a neck injury in training. A decision on the Reds skipper will be taken on Tuesday, with Lucas on standby. It remains to be seen whether Rafael BenĂ*tez will opt for the 4-4-2 used in the home quarter-final leg against Arsenal or stick to the mostly-used 4-2-3-1. Most clues will probably come from who didn’t play against Fulham.
Probable formation: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Hyypia, Aurélio, Mascherano, Alonso, Kuyt, Gerrard, Babel, Torres
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Last 5 matches for Chelsea:
Everton - Chelsea 0-1
Chelsea - Wigan Athletic 1-1
Chelsea - Fenerbahce 2-0
Manchester City - Chelsea 0-2
Fenerbahce - Chelsea 2-1
Team news: Frank Lampard will return having missed the last two Chelsea games on compassionate leave. He will probably start since Michael Essien is suspended. The Blues should be relatively fresh having had five days to prepare for this game and aren’t dealing with a lengthy casualty list. Wright-Phillips and Malouda will likely compete for a spot down the wing with Joe Cole set to get the other berth. It remains to be seen whether Didier Drogba will play an part but Michael Ballack (hamstring) looks set to miss out.
Probable formation: Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry, A Cole, Makélélé, Obi, Lampard, J Cole, Kalou, Anelka
Formation: 4-1-2-2-1
Prediction: 1(Lost)(2.35 - 188BET)
Good Luck!!!

Liverpool will not risk by winning only 1-0, coz Chelsea can woop them by 4-0 next week... so, i expect them to kill Chelsea today, its only chance they have! By the way,i hope to see them in final game in my city - Moscow !

I intended to play home win there, but why do you think that Chelsea could win 4-0 next week?

What do u think about:
27-90 Time of first goal (2.00 - stanjames) ??? Thanks

I think it's more certain that Liverpool will win, than that the first goal will be in 27-90... there's a good chance that first goal will not be so soon, but we saw Liverpool and Arsenal scoring relatively early in the game few weeks ago, so anything may be possible
I'm intending to play these two singles, please tell me what you think:
Liverpool to win with only one goal difference (1-0;2-1;3-2...) - odds 3.65
Liverpool to win with more than one goal difference - odds 6.50
so if the first single passes, I get less than double of money I put, and if the second one passes, I get about x3
And if Liverpool loses, or plays draw, I lose :D

Where we can bet this, because with those odds we can profit to make something better tonight?? Sure that is good to play because Liverpool should win this match and u can win more.

22.04.2008 - Champions League
http://www.goonersguide.com/clubs/Liverpool.gif Liverpool - http://www.goonersguide.com/clubs/Chelsea.gif Chelsea (Semi-Final)
The first leg of the semi final of the Champions League and once
again for the third time in four years we see Liverpool and Chelsea
face off.
This time though Liverpool have the home leg in the first match -
which is just a little different than what we have seen previously.
Avram Grant has promised a more expansive Chelsea side, we
haven't really seen it yet - so there may be some changes in the
summer to get the side to where he wants - assuming he's still in
charge.... But give him some creidt - he's guided the side to the
semi final of the Champions League and they still have an outside
chance of the Premiership title.
On the injury front it looks as though Didier Drogba will return to
the side and Frank Lampard will also return to the side.
Rafa Benitez will again lead his side into a semi final of the
Champions League. This time the home leg is the first match of the
tie and he will know Liverpool will need to win and or keep Chelsea
scoreless.
On the injury front Steven Gerrard will return to the side following a
neck injury. While Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa, Dirk Kuyt and Ryan
Babel will also return to the side/squad for the game. Also rested at
the weekend was Fernando Torres.
While Jamie Carragher played the second half of the game against
Fulham at the weekend. Sami Hyypia and Javier Mascherano are
also expected to recover from knocks they received gainst Fulham.
Chelsea will know the importance of an away goal, against
Fernabace they lost in the away tie, but scored the important away
goal to give them a slight edge, back at Stamford Bridge they did
the business in the end.
Liverpool meanwhile drew against Arsenla in the away leg, and
were able to overcome the London side at anfield after some nervy
moments.
So to form, well I don't think there is really much in it, and if I have
a look at each squad - Chelsea may just favour it in depth, though
Liverpool have improved their depth over the past couple of
seasons. Both squads have key players that will need to fire if they
are to get the results they are looking for.
What could make the difference here is the Anfield crowd - they are
known for their support and European nights are second to none at
Anfield - that may just give the home side a slight edge.
But for me it's too tough to call and I'll go with a draw here in the
first leg.
THE PICK :
Draw 0-0 or 1-1
